+ Mold Maker


Development, fabrication and maintenance of aerospace composite tooling and prototypes

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Apply sealers, releases, base coats and finish coats using hand applicators and various spray equipment

Fabricate a wide range of tools and prototypes using various composite processes (wet layup, pre-preg laminating and vacuum resin infusion)

Trim, drill, grind, sand and polish using hand tools, fixtures, templates and power tools

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to cut, plane, drill, grind or otherwise shape work pieces to prescribed dimensions and finish

Fit and assemble/disassemble parts or fixtures using hand tools

Perform tool maintenance and shop housekeeping

Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety Policies

Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills:

Minimum 3 years experience

Knowledge of material types, composite molds, parts manufacturing and industrial processes

Ability to hand work composites through use of small tools including die grinder, band saw, dremell, measuring tools and other cutting and shaping equipment

Blue print reading and comprehension of engineering documentation

Effective communication

Self motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Problem solving skills  

Ability to organize, plan work and adhere to deadlines

Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Detailed knowledge of composite fabrication techniques (wet lay-up, pre-preg and infusion)

High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Composite Fabricator


Complete daily tasks to established standards as assigned by Supervisor/Team Leader, including but not limited to: laminating parts, demoulding parts, preparation and bonding of parts and trimming of parts I/A/W drawings and procedures

  • Ensure safe work practices are followed including wearing all proper PPE as required
  • Ensure work orders are filled out according to proper procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping practices throughout shift and perform proper end of shift cleaning
  • Report to Team Leader/Supervisor any discrepancies regarding production requirements or time constraints
  • Report for shift on time
  • Report any defective tooling, jigs or safety hazards
  • Ensure proper care is taken of all equipment and tools
  • Report any shortages or defects to Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Ensure all ShopVue practices are followed
  • Ensure work is performed in a timely manner according schedule
  • Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 months directly related experience
  • Ability to use hand tools with accurate precision including the use of hand drills and tooling fixtures
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in written form
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Crane Operation Training considered an asset

+ Manufacturing Engineering Technologist


  • Perform technical studies and conduct analysis of existing or proposed operations
  • Develop plans and recommendations for equipment and correct methods of manufacturing including sequence of operations and detailed methodology of complex assemblies and installations, and detailed components
  • Assist with make or buy proposals
  • Recommend corrective actions for areas of responsibility
  • Perform product-ability studies from engineering drawings
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements
  • Make necessary computer inputs and generate data or reports as needed
  • Incorporate Lean Manufacturing methodology into existing and future processes
  • Employ sound project management skills to deliver projects in a timely and complete manner
  • Work on special projects
  • Ensure quality policies are being practiced
  • Make recommendations and implement procedures to improve quality
  • Initiate and maintain accurate daily and weekly activity status based on work output
  • Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience with production tooling design and implementation
  • Experience with drawing control
  • Experience with BOM control and maintenance
  • Experience working in an ERP environment
  • Familiarity with aviation manufacturing processes, terms and support systems
  • Knowledgeable about engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading and shop math
  • Ability to operate computerized equipment such as personal computers, CADAM and CATIA
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts including 5S, JIT, SMED, KanBan, VSM and One Piece Flow
  • Understanding of Six Sigma or other data-driven decision making processes
  • Manufacturing Engineering Technologist Diploma

+ Avionics Assembler


Routing, wiring and assembling wire harnesses and assemblies for installation on aircraft, according to specifications

  • Work with jig boards, hand tools and equipment
  • Read work orders, blueprints and specifications to determine established assembly methods
  • Cut wire to specified lengths using wire cutters
  • Cut plastic sleeves and slip sleeves over wire ends to insulate connections
  • Crimp terminal eyelets and lug to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device
  • Route, comb, twist, wrap, tie and attach wire to terminal points, according to jig board layout, using soldering gun and hand tools
  • Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches and solenoids, and install accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering gun and hand tools
  • Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness and plugs using ohmmeter, test lights and other electrical testing instruments
  • Pot or encapsulate electrical and electronic details
  • May attach eyelets, terminals and mounting studs to etched circuit boards
  • Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • 1 to 3 years experience in a related field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, documents and blueprints
