+ Mold Maker

Responsibilities:

Development, fabrication and maintenance of aerospace composite tooling and prototypes

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Apply sealers, releases, base coats and finish coats using hand applicators and various spray equipment

Fabricate a wide range of tools and prototypes using various composite processes (wet layup, pre-preg laminating and vacuum resin infusion)

Trim, drill, grind, sand and polish using hand tools, fixtures, templates and power tools

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to cut, plane, drill, grind or otherwise shape work pieces to prescribed dimensions and finish

Fit and assemble/disassemble parts or fixtures using hand tools

 
Perform tool maintenance and shop housekeeping

Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety Policies

Required Skills:

Responsibilities:                  

Complete daily tasks to established standards as assigned by Supervisor/Team Leader, including but not limited to: laminating parts, demoulding parts, preparation and bonding of parts and trimming of parts I/A/W drawings and procedures

  • Ensure safe work practices are followed including wearing all proper PPE as required
  • Ensure work orders are filled out according to proper procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping practices throughout shift and perform proper end of shift cleaning
  • Report to Team Leader/Supervisor any discrepancies regarding production requirements or time constraints
  • Report for shift on time
  • Report any defective tooling, jigs or safety hazards

+ Manufacturing Engineering Technologist

Responsibilities:      
            

  • Perform technical studies and conduct analysis of existing or proposed operations
  • Develop plans and recommendations for equipment and correct methods of manufacturing including sequence of operations and detailed methodology of complex assemblies and installations, and detailed components
  • Assist with make or buy proposals
  • Recommend corrective actions for areas of responsibility

+ Avionics Assembler

Responsibilities:                  

Routing, wiring and assembling wire harnesses and assemblies for installation on aircraft, according to specifications

  • Work with jig boards, hand tools and equipment
  • Read work orders, blueprints and specifications to determine established assembly methods
  • Cut wire to specified lengths using wire cutters
  • Cut plastic sleeves and slip sleeves over wire ends to insulate connections
  • Crimp terminal eyelets and lug to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device
  • Route, comb, twist, wrap, tie and attach wire to terminal points, according to jig board layout, using soldering gun and hand tools
  • Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches and solenoids, and install accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering gun and hand tools
  • Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness and plugs using ohmmeter, test lights and other electrical testing instruments
  • Pot or encapsulate electrical and electronic details
  • May attach eyelets, terminals and mounting studs to etched circuit boards

+ Senior Stress Engineer

 Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, size and document sizing of structural components in line with structural certification methodology
  • Develop test plans and articles as part of structures development program
  • Witness, guide and analysis of structural testing
  • Prepare, check and approve stress reports
  • Liaise and instruct (as appropriate), at all levels, relevant areas to expedite the resolution of the defined problems.  Communicate with and advise external bodies (i.e. TCCA, FAA, suppliers, customers, etc.), as required
  • Report the outcome of technical investigations to all levels of internal management and external bodies as necessary, and recommend engineering solutions

·         Oversee the development and design of layouts and the modification of existing designs to satisfy customer and production requirements
·         Develop product definition with internal/external parties to ensure compliance with applicable standards, requirements and design parameters as well as product functionality

·         Support prototype development and use reverse engineering methods to document designs

+ Systems Engineer

 Responsibilities:

·         Develop engineering solutions for mechanical systems on development aircraft and take the engineering definition through the necessary design review processes and drawing approval processes up until the drawings are formally released

·         Oversee the development and design of layouts and the modification of existing designs to satisfy customer and production requirements

+ Shipper / Receiver

Responsibilities:                  

  • Receive, unpack, count, identify and store inventory and arrange to ship or issue various purchased and processed materials

 

  • Check material received with purchase order specifications
  • Load and unload trucks and move materials within warehouse
  • Check, accumulate and ship materials to designated areas
  • Complete paperwork and maintain files in connection with stock transfers, purchase orders, shipping and receiving documents
  • Operate manual or power lift trucks as required
  • Provide adequate crates and protection for items shipped or stored in warehouse

 Responsibilities:

  • Apply logos and stripes as required
  • Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies

+ Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on quality activities to ensure compliance with business requirements and continuously improve Diamond's product quality and system processes performance
  • Validate the manufacturing process, the product and control plans (routers, FAI, assembly data sheets, etc.), to the most current Diamond and industry specifications
  • Initiate, investigate and participate in corrective and preventative action to address product, process and system non-conformances
  • Interact with regulatory authorities on production QA issues
  • Support and/or provide training in the quality system, statistical tools application and special processes applicable fields
  • Interface with designers and suppliers to obtain necessary data to ensure the products meet the quality requirements
  • Advise and confer with engineers in the design process to ensure quality requirements are considered, defined and planned for
  • Evaluate and amend sub-processes, procedures and work instructions
  • Plan and carry out internal product, process and supplier Quality Audits and participate in regulatory authority or third party audits to ensure adherence to and effectiveness of Diamond's processes

Responsibilities:

  • Review/correct engineering specifications, orders and related information
  • Provide engineering support to production, customer support, materials management, quality control and other department personnel

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively within the design team utilizing CATIA v5 design software to model components, system and installations and produce engineering documentation
  • Shepherd the engineering definition through the necessary design review and drawing approval processes including formal drawing release within the configuration management system
  • Participate in development testing
  • Prepare test article and test rig engineering definition and assist in conducting tests as directed

+ Technical Support Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair aircraft at customer locations
  • Utilize hand tools and test equipment to perform work
  • Handle after-hours technical support calls as required by Customer Support Department
  • Audit service centres at off site locations
  • Maintain database of field service issues
  • Participate in and support accident investigations
  • Provide direct support to the R&O department by working "hands-on"
  • Present training programs and work with the Training Coordinator in the development of training courses
  • Work with fleet customers and the Fleet Manager in an effort to resolve issues
  • Provide support to the parts department and customers

Work schedule is based on a 40 hour work week. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime. Salary range: $150,000 to $215,000.
