Singapore Youth Flying Club selects Diamond DA40 for Fleet Replacement

The Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC) is modernizing its training fleet with the selection of state-of-the-art Garmin G1000 glass cockpit equipped Diamond DA40 CS aircraft and complementary Diamond Simulation Flight Training Device.

This fleet replacement is consistent with the club’s mission to be a world-class aviation training center, promote aviation and develop a strong passion for flying among Singapore youth. “Many SYFC graduates go on to become Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) pilots,” said Willie Chow, operations manager of SYFC. “We wanted to provide them with more technologically-advanced machines. With the Diamond DA40s, we expect to attract even more students.”

“We are delighted that SYFC has selected the DA40,” said Peter Maurer, President of Diamond Aircraft Industries, Inc.  “Integral to our successful bid was the participation of our regional sales and service representative, Asian Aerospace Services, and MAJ Aviation, the prime contractor and maintenance provider.  We look forward to supporting the long term success of the SYFC operation.”

The Diamond DA40 is the best selling modern four-place single engine aircraft in class, popular with private pilots and flight training schools alike. The DA40 has been selected by premier flight training organizations worldwide, including CAE Global Academy, the US Air Force Academy and many others. It offers superior efficiency, performance, value, an unsurpassed safety record, and complementary two seat and twin engine aircraft as well as proprietary Flight Training Devices.
