Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Chief of Airworthiness to oversee the airworthiness processes for our aircraft engines. The successful candidate will ensure that all engine designs, modifications, and certifications meet international safety standards and regulatory requirements, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable and safe propulsion solutions for the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the airworthiness department with a focus on aircraft engine certification, compliance, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the certification process for new engine models and modifications, ensuring adherence to EASA, FAA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure airworthiness throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage interactions with certification authorities and ensure timely submission of documentation and test reports.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of engine design, testing, and production processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve airworthiness standards across all engine products.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the airworthiness team, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations and industry best practices, integrating them into company processes.
  • Support post-market surveillance and incident investigations related to engine safety.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in airworthiness management within the aircraft engine manufacturing industry.
  • Deep knowledge of certification standards and processes (EASA, FAA, ICAO, etc.) specific to aircraft engines.
  • Proven track record of leading certification projects from design to approval.
  • Strong technical background in aerospace engineering or related fields.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.

We offer a market-standard salary based on your professional and personal suitability. The legal minimum salary for this position according to the Austrian collective agreement is 6.058,75 EUR gross/month. Depending on your experience we provide overpayment on this base salary.
