Austro Engine, Wiener Neustadt - Austria Chief Office of Airworthiness (f/m/x)

Responsibilities

  • Airworthiness & Certification expertise for all departments of the Design Organization (including Environmental Protection Approvals)
  • Continuing Airworthiness: initiation and coordination of activities in the event of failures (accident/incident/in-service experience), handling of operational complaints, and reporting/informing the authority in case of airworthiness impairment
  • Project management of certification projects in close collaboration with the technical departments
  • Monitoring of EASA activities relevant to the Design Organization
  • Technical responsibility for the tasks of the Documentation Staff
  • Administration of compliant reports as well as preparation/review of build deviations, repair instructions, service instructions
  • Approval of Airworthiness Instructions, Certification Reports
  • Interface between development and relevant aviation authorities
  • Development of applicable regulations and monitoring/control of certification projects
  • Development of solutions for technical and procedural issues
  • Coordination with international aviation authorities and development teams

Skills

  • Completed technical studies (university/university of applied sciences) or HTL with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a development or production environment
  • Additionally, at least 3 years of experience in certification and development of aviation products
  • Very good knowledge of EASA Part 21 as well as relevant national aviation requirements
  • Solid understanding of the certification process (national, EASA)
  • At least 3 years of experience in the interpretation of certification specifications (e.g. JAR/CS-22, CS E)
  • Knowledge of international validation principles
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Confident use of MS Office
  • Know-how in piston engines and rotary engines
  • Independent, structured working style as well as strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility, strong communication skills and cooperative, solution-oriented teamwork
  • Willingness to travel (as required)

We offer a market-standard salary based on your professional and personal suitability. The legal minimum salary for this position according to the Austrian collective agreement is 81,270 EUR gross/year. Depending on your experience we provide overpayment on this base salary.
