Responsibilities
- Planning, conducting and interpreting tests with prototypes on component and engine test benches, as well as in test aircraft belonging to the Diamond Aircraft Group. Functional and operational stability tests of new innovations, extreme stress tests, evaluation of potential, etc.
- Evaluation of measurement results and preparation of the corresponding test documentation
- Coordination and preparation of measurement equipment
- Preparation of plans and test reports to support aviation-specific engine approvals
Skills
- Completed technical education (university of applied sciences, technical university, higher technical college) in mechanical engineering/aerospace engineering
- Good knowledge of engine mechanics and thermodynamics
- Experience and practical knowledge of the function and testing of Wankel and/or diesel engines
- Practical experience in (engine) test bench technology (AVL Puma) and measurement technology (e.g. Ipetronik data acquisition systems)
- Practical experience with software tools such as INCA, Indicom, CANape, Uniplot, Concerto, LabVIEW
- Experience in test and/or project planning
- Very good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ideally, experience in Excel VBA programming
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Presentation and visualisation skills
- Ideally, experience in the aviation industry (Part 21, CS-E)
- Willingness to learn and ability to work both independently and in a team after an appropriate training period
- High level of self-motivation, resilience, reliability and accuracy

The position offers a statutory minimum salary of EUR 47.546,94 gross per year with the possibility of overpayment depending on your education, qualifications and previous experience.
