Behind the Scenes at Diamond Aircraft: Exclusive Content Production Ahead of AERO Friedrichshafen 2026

With AERO Friedrichshafen 2026 fast approaching, excitement is building – and not just among aviation enthusiasts, but also across the wider LinkedIn community. On March 16 and 17, we were thrilled to open our doors in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, to two prominent aviation and manufacturing influencers: Norbert Werle and Ilkay Özkisaoglu.

Thanks to the kind support of Fairnamic, Norbert and Ilkay spent two days immersed in the world of Diamond Aircraft, capturing exclusive behind-the-scenes content that will premiere in the lead-up to AERO.

A Deep Dive into Diamond: Storytelling From the Inside

During their visit, the two creators engaged in a series of in‑depth interviews with key leaders shaping Diamond Aircraft today, namely Sales Director Jane Wang, Austro Engine Managing Director Jürgen Schwarz, and Chief Pilot Martin Scherrer, who also guided them through a walkaround of our newest DA62 demonstrator aircraft with its new, second-row business seating configuration.

Of course, no visit to Diamond would be complete without taking to the skies. Werle and Özkisaoglu joined us for an exclusive demo flight in the new DA62, where Norbert even took the controls to experience firsthand what makes this aircraft a standout in both private and commercial operations.

Beyond the cockpit, they also explored every stage of our aircraft production, from composite structure manufacturing to assembly, and toured the Austro Engine facility for a close look at the power behind Diamond’s fleet.

The result? A wealth of unique video content and storytelling shared across their LinkedIn channels in anticipation of AERO 2026.

First Impressions From Two Industry Voices

For Norbert, a business aviation professional and the founder of JET-Circle, the visit reframed how piston aircraft like the DA62 fit into the world of business aviation.

“The visit was eye‑opening. Business aviation is usually connected mainly with jets, but our clients have been experiencing the efficiency of the Diamond DA42 and DA62 for years in charter flights.”

Emphasizing the commercial potential of the DA62, he said: “Operating the DA62 as a business asset in a commercial setup – rather than only as a private airplane – provides owners a new way to utilize the aircraft more efficiently.”

And after taking the controls during the demo flight?

“Flying the new DA62 and experiencing its business interior layout provided a first‑hand experience.”

Ilkay, ‘DER Social CEO’ LinkedIn creator and a composites specialist whose online communities Composites Lounge and Content Creator Club connect thousands of manufacturing professionals, was particularly impressed by Diamond’s composite expertise.

“Experiencing the DA62 demo flight was genuinely remarkable, and being granted firsthand access to witness the complete composite frame production was a unique opportunity.”

Sees the collaboration as a natural fit, he continued: “Diamond’s insights will be a valuable addition to our community. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission at Composites Lounge, where we increasingly spotlight key events in the composites sector – especially in aerospace and aviation.”

The stories, videos, and impressions captured during these two days will be released in the coming weeks – offering an exclusive glimpse into what Diamond Aircraft has in store for AERO Friedrichshafen.
