Diamond Aircraft & Airlines Flight Training Organisations Summit Brings Industry Leaders Together to Discuss the Future of Pilot Training

Wiener Neustadt, Austria, 30 April 2026 — Diamond Aircraft hosted a one‑day summit bringing together airline representatives, fleet operators, and Flight Training Organisations to exchange insights on operational experience, training advancements, and the evolving demands of airline‑focused pilot training.

The summit welcomed representatives from leading airlines, including Emirates, airBaltic, KLM, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines. Following individual presentations, participants engaged in a discussion on the global demand for pilots, the long‑term outlook of the training market, and the evolving requirements of airline‑focused training programmes. The exchange highlighted the role of modern aircraft platforms, simulation, and integrated training systems.

Discussions also addressed the balance between aircraft‑based and simulator‑based training within MPL and ATPL pathways, as well as the role of next‑generation technologies in future training solutions. Participants emphasized the importance of close collaboration between airlines, training organisations, and manufacturers to ensure alignment with future regulatory and market needs.
