Diamond Aircraft and Asian Aerospace Services Announce New Aircraft Deal with BATS Aviation at LIMA 2025

Wiener Neustadt, Austria, June 10, 2025 – Diamond Aircraft is proud to announce that its long-term regional sales partner, Asian Aerospace Services Ltd. (AAS), has signed a new agreement with Malaysian flight training organization BATS Aviation Sdn Bhd for the delivery of a DA40 NG aircraft, with an option for an additional DA42-VI. The signing took place during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2025.

We look forward to supporting them further as they expand their fleet with the twin-engine DA42 in the future.”

Founded in 2019, BATS Aviation is committed to training the next generation of pilots in a professional, airline-oriented environment. Recognized as an Approved Training Organization-Flight Training Organization by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia in 2020, BATS Aviation is rapidly establishing itself as a premier flight training provider in the region.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of LIMA 2025, where Diamond Aircraft and AAS showcased Diamond Aircraft’s special mission solutions.

The Diamond DA40 NG is a global favorite among flight schools, powered by a 168 hp turbocharged Austro AE300 diesel engine. It features a single-lever electronic control unit, a full Garmin G1000 NXi glass cockpit, and operates on cost-efficient and environmentally friendly Jet A-1 fuel—making it a smart, sustainable choice for modern pilot training.
