Diamond Aircraft Delivers Advanced Surveillance Aircraft Equipped with Cutting-Edge Mission Systems

Wiener Neustadt, Austria – Diamond Aircraft is proud to announce the delivery of a highly customized surveillance aircraft to QinetiQ, with the Dutch Military Police as the end user. This milestone reinforces Diamond Aircraft’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art solutions for demanding mission profiles worldwide.

This project highlights the close collaboration between Diamond Aircraft and QinetiQ, ensuring that mission-critical assets remain at the forefront of technology. As part of the delivery, Diamond Aircraft performed a comprehensive retrofit of one of QinetiQ’s existing and already operational DA62 MPP aircraft. This approach not only maximizes asset lifecycle value but also demonstrates Diamond Aircraft’s capability to modernize and adapt existing fleets to meet evolving mission requirements.

Diamond Aircraft delivered this solution as a fully certified, turnkey package, ensuring compliance with all relevant aviation and operational standards. The retrofit and integration work was performed under EASA Part-145 maintenance approval. By leveraging Diamond’s in-house engineering and certification expertise, the project provided a seamless upgrade path for QinetiQ’s existing DA62 MPP platform.
