Diamond Aircraft Hosts Second Annual Fly-In, Celebrates Community and Innovation

Wiener Neustadt, Austria – On Saturday, September 27, Diamond Aircraft welcomed aircraft owners, pilots, and business partners to its Austrian headquarters for the second annual Diamond Fly-In – a day dedicated to aviation, connection, and celebration.

The event brought together Diamond enthusiasts from across the region and beyond, offering a unique opportunity to engage in aircraft-focused workshops, enjoy demo flights, and connect with fellow pilots in a relaxed and inspiring setting.

A focus at this year’s event was the newly minted Diamond Flying Club (DFC), which CEO Frank Zhang introduced to guests in his opening remarks.

“As Diamond owners and enthusiasts, we share a common philosophy, are deeply passionate about our brand and fiercely loyal to it,” said Zhang. “We created the Diamond Flying Club out of appreciation for this, meeting the demand from within our community for opportunities to share experiences – but we also created the DFC to grow the community itself, bringing the joy of the Diamond world to others.”

Guests also had the chance to meet DFC Global General Secretary Sunny Guo, who presented the club’s first group of Diamond Ambassadors – a select circle of influential aviators chosen to represent the club’s values and help shape its future.

Workshop sessions covered topics ranging from aircraft maintenance and mechanics to advanced operational flying techniques. Jane Wang, Sales Director for Austria, shared updates on Diamond’s growing ecosystem, including the launch of the Diamond Authorized Training Center Program, which recognizes top-tier flight training organizations through OEM endorsement.

“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for this year’s Fly-In,” said Wang. “Events like this are more than just gatherings – they’re a celebration of the passion and innovation that define the Diamond family. The Fly-In is a chance to strengthen connections, share knowledge, and inspire the next generation of aviators.”

Diamond owners also shared their own experiences in a lively discussion panel featuring Diamond Pilots Association President and DA62 owner Ed McDonald; Diamond Flying Club Ambassadors and DA62 owners Felix Pahl and Rene Amstrup; DA50 RG owner Stefano Valli; and CEO of Aviation Academy Austria Oliver Karall.

The day also included demo flights, a company tour, live music, and a group dinner. Formation flights featuring the DA62, DA50 RG, DA42-VI, and DA40 – flown in a signature diamond-shaped pattern by pilots Martin Scherrer, Mathias Hutterer, Stefan Pölzlbauer, and Aron Luis Gilbertsson – provided stunning aerial entertainment.
