Diamond Aircraft soars: More than 60 employees wanted for Austrian headquarters

Austrian-based global aircraft manufacturer Diamond Aircraft is reporting full order books for the next two years and further high demand for its private, training and special mission aircraft. Work is also underway to bring new products to market, including an all-electric training aircraft. The development and production site in Wiener Neustadt (Austria) is therefore being further expanded and the company has more than 60 vacant positions to fill.

"We will significantly increase our production at all our sites over the next 3 years," said Liqun (Frank) Zhang, CEO of Diamond Aircraft Austria. "Our aircraft have always been very popular with flight schools from all over the world. Since the pandemic, we have additionally seen increased demand from the private sector, which makes us very proud."

"Our recently introduced all-electric project, the eDA40, is also already attracting many interested parties and we are working full steam ahead to obtain approval. With our subsidiary Austro Engine, we are researching other forward-looking projects," he added. "Especially in our aircraft production, we are therefore urgently looking for personnel with manual skills. We also have quite a few vacant positions in engineering, sales or administration at both companies."

"Diamond Aircraft is already one of the largest and most innovative employers in the city of Wiener Neustadt. This new job campaign will create 60 additional workplaces, which I am of course particularly pleased about as mayor. Our committed and proactive labor market policy, which we have been pursuing together with the local business community for several years, has thus been enriched by a very important facet. I would like to thank those responsible at Diamond Aircraft for their confidence in the location and the important job impulse," said Klaus Schneeberger, Mayor of Wiener Neustadt.

Applicants can inquire online at the Diamond Aircraft career website and apply directly. Another opportunity to learn about the company's aircraft and talk to employees is at this year's Airpower in Zeltweg from September 2 - 3, for which an exciting demonstration flight is also in the planning.
