Centered around the theme “Make the world better through flying,” the event blended technological innovation, cultural charm, and the power of dreams—not only marking a highlight moment for Wanfeng Group’s Diamond brand but also fostering a cross-border dialogue that connected hearts and minds through aviation culture. From cutting-edge technology releases and aviation culture salons to inspiring flight story sharing, each segment sparked enthusiasm and reflected the vibrant spirit of the Diamond flying community.
Mr. Xu Zhiliang, Director of Wanfeng Group, delivered the welcome speech, expressing sincere gratitude to the distinguished guests. He emphasized that the Diamond Flying Club, as Wanfeng’s latest initiative to promote global aviation culture, aims to build three key platforms: cultural resonance, resource sharing, service enhancement, and collaborative ecosystem development within the Diamond Aircraft network. Following event editions in North America and Europe in 2025, the “Diamond Night” made its dazzling debut in Zhuhai, signaling the official launch of DFC’s journey in the Asia-Pacific region and showcasing Wanfeng group’s open approach to uniting aviation enthusiasts worldwide.
During the technology exploration session, Wanfeng group’s Diamond Aircraft leads outlined future visions for intercity and urban air mobility, highlighting new technologies, models, and applications. Ms. Li Xiaojuan, General Manager of Zhejiang Wanfeng Aircraft Co., elaborated on the technical strengths and performance of the Diamond DA62. She noted that the DA62, known as the “Sky Explorer,” stands out in the general aviation sector with its advanced power and avionics systems, along with exceptional safety features.
Mr. David Bausek, Global CTO of Wanfeng’s Volocopter, unveiled the VoloXpro eVTOL model for the first time in Asia market. Since its first manned test flight in Singapore in 2019, the VoloXpro has completed over 2,000 demonstration flights across 40 cities in more than 20 countries, offering low-noise operation and high safety standards. This vertical take-off and landing aircraft reflects profound insights into the future of urban three-dimensional mobility.
Mr. Li Yun, Asia-Pacific General Manager of Diamond Aircraft, offered a toast, remarking that each flight represents a romantic encounter with the sky. Coinciding with Thanksgiving, the evening was a tribute to gratitude—for the shared love of aviation and the promising future of Diamond Aircraft.
The event also featured the premiere of the DFC global ambassador film, Global Ambassadors, Diamond Voices, followed by heartfelt stories from four Diamond ambassadors worldwide. Their accounts—spanning collaboration, dream-chasing journeys, and bold round-the-world flights—resonated deeply with the audience.
Mr. Gao Xuli, Operations Director of the Civil Aviation University of China Flight Academy, shared insights on flight training and fleet management. He highlighted the academy’s operation of the world’s largest Diamond aircraft fleet and its close partnership with Wanfeng Diamond Aircraft in cultivating outstanding aviation talents.
Ms. Zhuang Li, President of Australian Tianma Flight Academy, recounted her journey as a female pilot and her bond with Diamond Aircraft—from choosing the DA40 to owning Australia’s first DA62. She reflected on her mission to help more people achieving their dreams and promote a fulfilling aviation lifestyle.
Diamond pilot and long-term partner Hubert Trunzer from German who located in Thailand shared over two decades of collaboration with Diamond Aircraft, detailing his dedication to serving Diamond clients. He described how Diamond aircraft have bridged his career and family legacy, spanning two generations of aviators.
Mr. Zhang Bo, the first Chinese pilot to fly around the world in Diamond DA42 and DA62 aircraft, recounted his record-setting global flights, praising the aircraft’s performance, reliability, and unmatched flight experience—embodying the pioneering spirit of general aviation.
As the night concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, witnessed by DFC members and guests, the Zhuhai “Diamond Night” drew to a successful close. More than a brand celebration or an annual gathering, the event symbolized a global convergence of aviation passion and industry vision. Moving forward, the Diamond Flying Club will continue to leverage the “Diamond Night” as an annual flagship event, expanding the DFC ecosystem and inspiring every takeoff with greater passion and possibility—all while shining brighter on the world stage.
