The event began with a welcome reception, followed by opening remarks from William, Chairman of the Diamond Flying Club.
“When we founded the DFC in May 2025, our vision was simple: to build a global community for everyone who shares a passion for Diamond aircraft. The club was created to be a place where people truly feel they belong. Wherever in the world you fly a Diamond aircraft, the DFC community will always be there to support you. One World, One Diamond, One Family.”
Following a recap of the club’s milestones—including its growth to more than 12,000 members and 38 Global Diamond Ambassadors—guests gathered for a global family photo.
During DFC Diamond Night, accomplished Diamond aircraft owner and ambassador Bo Zhang shared highlights from his around-the-world flying experiences in the Diamond DA62 and DA42. His presentation demonstrated the aircraft’s Jet-A fuel efficiency, range, versatility, and dependable performance during demanding long-distance missions.
Martin Scherrer, a pilot with 9,000 total flight hours, including 8,000 hours in Diamond aircraft, shared practical insights into one-engine-inoperative operations in Diamond twin-engine aircraft. His presentation covered engine-out procedures, aircraft performance, and pilot decision-making while highlighting the safety-focused and redundancy design of the DA42-VI and DA62.
Building on the success of the inaugural Diamond Night, this year’s event further strengthened connections among DFC members and reinforced Diamond Aircraft’s presence in the global general aviation community. The Diamond Flying Club will continue to support engaging events worldwide, creating new opportunities to connect, inspire, and empower the global Diamond community.
