Are you ready to jump straight into the professional world and become part of an innovative company from day one? Our apprenticeship programs offer the perfect blend of hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge. We train apprentices in the fields of Aircraft Technician, Surface Coating Technician, and Industrial Clerk – with dedication, teamwork, and a clear goal: to help you build a successful future.
Aircraft Technician
At Diamond Aircraft Austria we offer apprenticeship trainings as aircraft technicians.
Aircraft technicians work on, inspect, maintain, and repair all types of aircraft in accordance with legal requirements. Their work involves the use of state-of-the-art technology in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and mechanics. They record the results of their work and inspections in maintenance logs and work journals.
They work together in teams in special maintenance and repair shops of aviation companies, which are usually located near airports or directly on airport premises, or in production of manufacturing companies.
The apprenticeship training lasts 3.5 years and takes place mainly in our maintenance department.
Surface Coating Technician
Surface coating technicians specialize in treating and refining surfaces. You’ll prepare aircraft parts, apply paints, coatings, and protective layers, ensuring they not only look great but are also durable and resilient. You’ll work with modern coating techniques and high-quality materials – precision and a keen eye for detail are essential.
Your workplace will be in professional paint booths and workshops, where you’ll collaborate with your team and coordinate with departments like production and quality assurance.
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years and takes place mainly in our paint shop. You’ll learn directly on the product how to properly coat and finish aircraft parts – with a focus on quality, safety, and design.
Industrial Clerk
Industrial clerks are the organizational backbone of a company. You’ll manage and oversee business processes in areas such as purchasing, sales, human resources, and accounting. You’ll work with various IT systems and communicate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers – both nationally and internationally.
Your workplace will be in our office departments, where you’ll work in a team and gain insights into different commercial areas. Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and communication abilities are key.
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years and takes place across several departments in our company. You’ll gain practical experience in how an industrial business operates and learn how to actively contribute to its success.
Traineeship Compulsory Traineeship

We support you in fulfilling your compulsory internship. You can work for us in the fields of aviation, mechatronics or automotive engineering for four weeks. In order to do so, we require a personalized confirmation from your school that your compulsory internship has not yet been completed.
Please upload this confirmation together with your complete CV, cover letter and your last school certificate when applying online.
Internships are usually advertised online in April. You can then apply directly for such an internship or send an online unsolicited application beforehand with a note in the cover letter that you would like to complete a compulsory internship.
Internships University/University of Applied Sciences Internships & Theses
Your curriculum includes a compulsory internship or you have to write your thesis and are looking for an interesting field in aeronautics or automotive engineering? You would like to be an important contribution as an intern or diploma student?
You can find our internship vacancies on our careers page. It is as simple as that: the longer the duration of your internship, the better. We usually offer internships with a duration of four to nine months. Of course, this is adapted to the requirements of your mandatory internship. In the job posting, we will let you know if the activity is suitable for a thesis or not. Theses can be done with a small project on a contract basis or as part of a compulsory internship.
