With 21 aerodynamical improvements the newly developed DA42 V1 is another milestone in the history of Diamond Aircraft Austria.
Powered by 340 hp from two Austro Engine AE300 and with a normal operational weight the take-off roll (no wind) is less than 1000 ft. The climb rate is 1900 fpm at sea level and 900 fpm on FL180 at a climb speed of 120 knots indicated. Top speed of the aircraft is over 200 knots in FL180.
